Hi Guys, well we are starting to feel very nervous & excited as it's not long now till we will be leaving NZ, at this stage due to the COVID situation we really don't know how long we will be gone for.
Time is racing by as we try to complete all our jobs before we wing our way on Emirates to Greece departure date 25th August.
The idea of having a website for Kiri Maia came about after a discussion with our friend & business website developer, I had, had a lot of positive feedback from friends & family that loved to hear about our adventures sailing in the Med through Facebook, however, not everyone is on Facebook & there is so much more that we can share with everyone. Sailing and living on Kiri Maia is a truly amazing experience with many highs & lows we are constantly being taken out of our comfort zones & learning new things.
It has become apparent that even though I had really good intentions to have the Sailing Kiri Maia website up and running complete with our adventures in 2018 & 2019 before we head back to Greece in August this year it is not going to happen.
The days keep rushing by we always seem to be busy having to sort all sorts of things before we leave. So much to do sorting out our house, hours & hours spent on the computer making sure that all our ducks are in a row for when are away, Marcel is now an expert at filling in forms. Spending time with family & friends not to mention all the personal things we need to do before leaving like shopping for winter clothing.
At the time of deciding to have a website, it seemed like a great idea, however, I didn't realize how hard it would be as I don’t know anything about websites or photo editing so please bear with me as I come to grips with creating the Kiri Maia web site.
At this stage, my goal is to share our experiences & encourage anyone that wants to step out of their comfort zones to get off the couch & try new things it is worth having a go.
A big thank you to Henk at 4success for setting up the Kiri Maia website & encouraging me to carry on as at times it really felt too hard. Hopefully, the Kiri Maia website will be up and running before we leave, then I will carry on writing our story past & current while we are away.
